Thankfully the nice people at Best Currency Exchange realised I was an idiot and sorted out my mistake.
Almost ready to go now, got currency, visas, tickets and are all packed.

Currency nightmare
Ordered currency online and was pleased to get a really good rate. On closer inspection I realised I had only ordered 350 rupees (£5) not £ 350. I know your money goes a long way in India but think that is slightly too optimistic.

Countdown to India - 12 days to go
Starting to get excited now and making mental lists of things to do. Really must write them down before I forget them.
